Rabbi Moshe Rudin
“Jewish memory, tradition, heritage is the light that guides us, but the steps forward must be our own,” says Moshe Rudin, Congregational Rabbi of Temple Hatikvah of Flanders. “Judaism is something that you live, sing, laugh, cry, not just study or speak about.”
Rabbi Rudin has long been a voice for Jewish renewal, commitment and is deeply involved in social action. With a wide and varied background that spans Israel and the American Jewish community, he has studied in Yeshivot (Rabbinical seminaries) in Jerusalem, led rallies on behalf of Soviet Jewry and advocated for Israel on college campuses.
An inspiring storyteller and musician, Moshe has been active in Jewish educational leadership through youth movements and summer camps, led trips to Israel and served as principal and Jewish studies director for several Jewish day and afternoon schools.
Moshe sees his role at Temple Hatikvah as one of personal Jewish empowerment. He is a wonderful listener and is dedicated to helping every member of his congregation to enrich their lives through exploring their precious Jewish heritage.
