Adult Education

From Jewish history to Hebrew language and from basic Jewish practice to the Talmud, our adult education courses make Jewish civilization accessible and meaningful. Course offerings include Jewish music, film, cooking, Hebrew, liturgy, Jewish concepts, history as well as traditional text studies and aim to open up the richness and depth of Jewish life to all  members of our community and beyond. Recent offerings include:

Jews of the Century - A lighthearted fast-paced survey of the last 1000 torahontapyears of history through Jewish eyes. We will explore the live and times of the men and  women who created Jewish civilization from it's Talmudic roots to the  21st century.

Chapters of the Jewish Heart - A six-session discussion based on text, discourse and inspiration. A fearless, deeply probing and discussion-based six-session exploration of Judaism’s teachings ranging from the Jewish perspective of God, revelation, Torah, the soul, redemption and more.

ISRAEL! - The vision and the reality. We'll explore the dream of Zionism and it's fulfillment in the historical odyssey which is modern Israel. This very special session will be taught through the use of speakers providing varying points of view and perspectives on Israeli culture, society and the future.

Jewish Cooking Mini Course - A professional chef will help us create a different world Jewish community's gustatory masterpiece each week in this informal and enjoyable series.

Torah On Tap - Torah talk over your favorite lager...what could be more refreshing?  Meet in one of Morris County's characteristic taverns for informal talk about Torah and life!
